High waist pleated trousers with a straight leg. The pleat at the front gives room through the thigh, and the crease runs all the way down, so the leg keeps a clean line even after a full day of sitting.

Fit and sizing

These sit at your natural waist, not on the hip. The waistband is structured, with belt loops and a button and hook closure. Through the hip and thigh they stay relaxed, then fall straight to the ankle. If you are between two sizes, take the smaller one, as the waist has a little give.

Fabric

Soft, matte, and heavy enough to hold the pleat properly. It does not cling at the thigh and it is not see-through in sunlight, including the stone shade. It also does not crease badly through the day, which is the usual problem with cheaper suiting fabric.

You can wear these in summer and winter both. The wide leg lets air move, so they stay more comfortable in Karachi heat than jeans or fitted pants.

How to wear them? 

Tuck your top in. That is the main thing. The high waist is doing the work, and an untucked top hides it.

For office, wear a button-down shirt half tucked with flat shoes. For everyday, a fitted cami or bodycon top tucked in with sneakers or sandals. For evening, run a belt through the loops, switch to black or chocolate, and add a heel. With eastern wear, a plain kurti on top works well.

Five shades: black, chocolate, camel, khaki and stone. Black and stone go with most of what you already own. Camel, chocolate and khaki work together if you want a tonal look.
